ReplyDeleteEsmerelda is a great city and you are starting to explore some interesting elements.
This city really lends itself to strong interesting compositions.
To try and develope some new and interesting forms look at blending contemporary egineering techniques such as suspension bridges road ways etc and combine them with the materiality you are suggesting with your influence maps.
Try to think of a public building as a focal point, you mention ccathedrals, which are a christian construct. Ask yourself what the religion of this city would be, this would then influence their architecture and design.
